Delete your DocPana account

You can delete your account and its data whenever you want. It’s immediate and can’t be undone: you lose your history, your templates and all your credits, including purchased ones.

From the app

  1. 1Open DocPana and sign in with the account you want to delete.
  2. 2Go to Profile → Delete account.
  3. 3Confirm with your password. If you sign in with Google, confirm again with your Google account.
  4. 4Done: the account is deleted immediately and your sessions stop working on all your phones.

Without the app

Email us from your account’s email address, so we can check it’s yours, and ask us to delete it:

[email protected]Send the request

We’ll reply to confirm when it has been deleted.

What is deleted

  • Your account: name, email, password (stored as an irreversible hash) and, if you signed in with Google, your photo and your Google account identifier.
  • Your format settings, your personal formats and the style guides you modified.
  • Your templates and your document history.
  • Your credit balance and transactions, including purchased credits.
  • Your support requests from the app («Help and support»): the messages, the team’s replies and the screenshot if you sent one.
  • Your «Did it come out right?» ratings and, if you attached your document to one, the copy kept for the team.
  • Any internal notes and tags the team added to your account.
  • The days you opened the app (date only).

What is kept

An anti-abuse fingerprint
An HMAC-SHA256 code of your email (and of your Google identifier, if you signed in with Google) computed with a secret server key. It doesn’t store your email and can’t be used to recover it: it only makes sure that, if you sign up again, you don’t get the welcome credits a second time or redeem again a promo code you already redeemed (those redemptions become anonymous, kept only with this fingerprint).
The AI usage log, anonymised
How many tokens were used and what they cost, without the text sent and with no link to your account. It’s for our accounting.
The correction log, anonymised
For each correction: the style guide, how many words it had, whether it used AI, whether it failed and how long it took, without the file name or its content and with no link to your account. It’s for the service’s statistics.
Encrypted backups, for up to 28 days
Deleted data may remain inside an encrypted backup until that backup expires. Backups are only used to restore the service after a failure.
Server technical logs
They identify the account by a number, never by your email or your documents, and they rotate and overwrite themselves.
The team’s audit log, with the account identified only by its number
The record of what the team did with your account (credits given, plan changes, replies to your requests, whether it opened a screenshot or your attached document). It keeps the account number, never your email, your name, the text of your messages or your documents, and it’s used to settle disputes and prevent abuse.
